1. Blood Circulatory System(Cardio vascular System).

Transport in Human is the process which is carried out by systems like The Circulatory System.This system play major role in the Transport system in men.

 In this system the fluid Circulates around the body which we call blood. The blood as the transporting material has assumed its highest in man. The blood consists of a powerful heart,arteries, capillaries and veins.

>>>The circulatory system.

The circulatory system circulates the blood from Heart to all parts of the body.

>>>The Heart.

The Heart is a muscular pump which pumps the blood to all parts of the body.Heart has four chambers the two upper chambers called atrium or auricle and the two lower chambers called ventricles.The  Heart starts to pump blood when it made and till the person death.

>>>Blood.

Blood is a viscous fluid and red in color due to hemoglobin, it is connective tissue,comprising a colorless plasma in which the blood corpuscles float.

>>>Plasma.

Plasma is the 55% of blood component.It is a fluid containing a mixture of inorganic salts in true solution form and blood proteins in colloidal form.

Plasma fluid contain auto-toxins,amino acid,triglycerides,hormones,urea and enzymes.It contain 90% water which is abundant component of plasma. The substance those are dissolved in is 1%.

>>>Blood Corpuscles.

Blood Corpuscles are the blood cells which form the remaining 45% of the blood.They are in two types.

>>>Red  blood Corpuscles or (Erythrocytes).

These are non-nucleated and biconcave circular plate like cells.They contain a respiratory pigment hemoglobin which is an iron bound protein and has an affinity for oxygen.

They have average in size in diameter is 7 to 8u. The oxygen molecules get attached to the hemoglobin forming oxyhemoglobin which is bright red in color.

The red blood cells are formed in bone marrow of sternum and ribs etc. and they are destroyed after 12 days by phagocytosis in spleen or liver.The enzyme CARBOLIC ANHYDRASES which play vital role in carbon dioxide transport.

>>>White blood corpuscles.

White blood cells also called (Leukocytes). They are irregular in shape and nucleated, large but numerous than the R.B.Cs. They are formed in bone marrow,Spleen,thymus and lymph nodes.They have a short life and destroyed with in few(20 to 30) hours.

>>>Platelets.

The Platelets are irregular cell fragments, non nucleated, produced within the bone marrow.They help in blood clotting.

>>>Function of Blood.

Blood performs many major function in Human body.Some of them are given below.

1).Transport of Nutrition. 

The blood transport digest food, water and other substances from the alimentary canal to the various parts of the body for storage, oxidation or assimilation.

2).Transport of Waste Substances.

Blood transport waste substance from the tissues to the excretory organs for their discharge.

3).Transport of Metabolic By-products.

From the area of production to other parts of the body.

4).Transport of Hormones.

The Transport of Hormones from the endocrine glands to the target organs .

5).The Distribution of Body Heat.

The blood maintains the body temperature.

6).Transport of oxygen and carbon dioxide.

The Oxygen is transported from the lungs to all parts of the body and carbon dioxide from the cells to the lungs for removal.

7).Defense against Diseases.

The W.B.Cs are called police of the body because they kills the antibodies and protects the body from harms.
